The Crossville, Tennessee-based Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System treats both adults and children for a wide range of mental health and drug use problems. Outpatient therapy, care management, and drug abuse recovery programs are available at the facility to help people with serious mental illnesses and other disorders that happen at the same time. Their services meet a wide range of needs and are not based on gender or religion, so everyone can get the care they need.
The center provides many services, such as Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), mobile crisis response, telehealth services, and special programs for soldiers and people who have been in trouble with the law. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), activity therapy, anger management, group support services, and managing psychiatric medications are some of the ways that people are treated. The Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System makes sure that these groups get specialized care by focusing on helping soldiers through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program and having a mental health liaison for the criminal justice system. The center meets high standards for care and service delivery because it is accredited by The Joint Commission.
